KHA winless through recent JPHL Showcase, losses to Titans & Rockies
The Kootenay Hockey Academy is back from their recent JPHL Showcase event in Spruce Grove, Alberta, but not with the results they would have hoped for.
Friday, November 10, featured the first of two battles with the U18 Titans Hockey Union. The Titans were dominant, cruising to an 8-1 victory.
KHA's lone goal in Friday's game came from Rhett Steel in the second period.
On Saturday, November 11, KHA faced the Titans again and fell 5-1.
KHA goalie Jaxon Loewen stopped 49 of 54 shots, while their lone goal came from Danik Reeves in the first period.
The showcase ended Sunday, November 12, with KHA falling 6-1 to the Calgary Rockies.
Cranbrook's Caelen Cross had KHA's lone goal in Sunday's loss.
Their next showcase is November 24-26 at the Hatch Co. Arena in Spruce Grove, Alberta.
